BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 27 /SRNA/ – Ana Trišić-Babić, Director of the Republika Srpska International Cooperation Office, welcomed talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, held at the initiative of the two European leaders.
"This initiative confirms the importance of direct dialogue with Moscow in seeking solutions for European security. President Putin’s willingness to agree to talks and consider ways to end the war deserves support, as does US President Donald Trump’s persistence in peace mediation. It is important that these efforts, with Ukraine’s participation, contribute to progress in negotiations," Trišić-Babić posted on X.
According to her, the agreement on a humanitarian ceasefire in Oleshky and the talks in Tehran between representatives of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan further highlight the need to preserve diplomatic channels even under the most difficult circumstances.
"Republika Srpska supports dialogue and the peaceful resolution of disputes. Dialogue does not mean abandoning one’s own positions, but rather a willingness to take responsibility for peace. The value of diplomatic efforts will be measured by agreements that are respected and human lives that are saved," Trišić-Babić stated.
