BOMB ATTACK ON SECURITY OFFICIAL'S VEHICLE FOILED

MOSCOW, JULY 24 /SRNA/ - Members of Russia's Federal Security Service /FSB/ have detained a woman, a Russian citizen, suspected of preparing a terrorist act in Moscow, where she was planning to carry out a bomb attack on a security official's vehicle at the direction of Ukrainian special services.

The FSB said that the 30-year-old woman was detained while placing an improvised explosive device under the vehicle.

They said that the suspect travelled through Turkey and Moldova to Ukraine, where she received training to carry out sabotage and terrorist activities, after which she returned to Russia.

"It was established that the suspect had contacted a handler via the messaging apps Telegram and WhatsApp, informing him of her readiness to take part in terrorist activities in exchange for assistance in relocating permanently to one of the EU countries," the FSB said.
