AT LEAST 15 PEOPLE KILLED BY LANDSLIDE

MANILA, JULY 10 /SRNA/ - The death toll from landslides triggered by heavy rains as Typhoon Bavi passed through the Philippines has risen to 15, AFP reported.

The agency earlier reported that hundreds of people had been evacuated in parts of Taiwan.

Earlier reports said five people had died in the Philippines and six were missing after Bavi made landfall on the Philippine island of Mindanao.

Typhoon Bavi is expected to pass over eastern and northern Taiwan, Japan's southern islands and China.
