FOUR PILOTS KILLED IN CRASH OF TWO FIGHTER JETS

MANILA, OCTOBER 24 /SRNA/ - The Philippine Air Force /PAF/ confirmed that four pilots were killed after two SF-260 aircraft crashed during a training flight at Fernando Air Base.

"Both aircraft crashed within the base perimeter, with no other casualties reported," the PAF said today, adding that the accident occurred yesterday at 3:51 p.m. local time.

The statement said that an investigation would determine the cause of the accident.

"All SF-260 aircraft have been temporarily grounded as a precautionary measure," the statement said.
