DEATH TOLL FROM MONSOON AND CYCLONES RISES TO 43

MANILA, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - The death toll from the southwest monsoon and recent tropical cyclones in the Philippines has risen to 43, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.

According to the latest report, 18 people were injured, while five others are listed as missing.

The Office of Civil Defense reported 31 deaths on Wednesday.
