ADIDAS PREPARES SPECIAL JERSEY FOR MESSI'S FINAL APPEARANCE FOR ARGENTINA

HERZEGENAURACH, SEPTEMBER 22 /SRNA/ - Adidas and the Argentine Football Association have announced a special jersey dedicated to Lionel Messi ahead of his final appearance for the Argentina national team.

The farewell jersey's design varies from Argentina’s traditional kit by featuring vertical stripes. It is mainly sky blue, with a wide white stripe across the middle.

Instead of the usual Adidas logo, Messi’s personal “M” logo appears in gold on the right side of the chest, while the Argentine crest with its three stars is featured on the left, embellished with gold details.

The collar and sleeve cuffs are black with thin gold lines.

The back of the jersey bears the name “Messi 10” in gold lettering, framed by a sunray motif, according to US sports media.

Messi, one of the greatest footballers of all time, is expected to wear the jersey in his farewell match against Benin, which will be played on October 6 at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.

Adidas and Messi have been partners since 2006, and the relationship has been so successful that the Argentine signed a lifetime contract with the German company in 2017.

Messi unveiled the jersey on social media with the message, “One more game... a jersey for a lifetime.”

The Argentine made 207 appearances for the national team and scored 125 goals during his international career.
