BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ - The Serbian national sitting volleyball team, which also includes players from Republika Srpska, won first place at the inaugural “VNUKOVO 2026” International Tournament held in Moscow, and Banjaluka native Dragiša Zorić was named the tournament’s best attacker.
Serbia triumphed in a field that included the national teams of Russia, Indonesia, Rwanda, Afghanistan and Myanmar.
Serbia finished second in the group stage with one win and one loss before taking a major step towards the gold medal in the semi-final, the Serbian Sitting Volleyball Association for Persons with Disabilities said.
Serbia put in an excellent performance against Russia and won 2-0 /25-20, 25-15/.
In the gold-medal match, Serbia produced another outstanding performance against Myanmar and secured a convincing 2-0 victory /25-19, 25-20/.
