POLICE ORCHESTRA AT TRADITIONAL FESTIVAL IN GREECE

PRIJEDOR, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ - The Police Orchestra of the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska is taking part in a traditional festival of wine, tsipouro and grape harvesting held in Megali Panagia, in the Municipality of Aristotle, Greece, Police Administration Prijedor Spokeswoman Zvezdana Alendarević told SRNA.

Alendarević said the festival brought together a large number of citizens, visitors and tourists. This year, too, it provided an opportunity to showcase the rich traditions, culture and customs, as well as to foster international cultural cooperation.

“More than 130 members of local folklore and dance groups and a folklore ensemble took part in the parade held as part of the festival’s opening ceremony, and the Police Orchestra of the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska also took part. It performed an appropriate musical program, adding to the festive atmosphere of the opening ceremony,” Alendarević told SRNA.

The Police Orchestra will perform a concert tonight starting at 7:00 p.m., featuring famous Serbian marches as well as film and popular music by domestic and foreign composers.

The participation of the Police Orchestra of the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska in this major cultural event was organized in cooperation with the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Greece.
