GOLD FOR SERBIAN ROWERS AT THE MEDITERRANEAN GAMES

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 2 /SRNA/ - Serbian rowers Martin Mačković and Nikolai Pimenov won the gold medal in the double sculls at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy.

The Italian crew won silver, and the bronze medal went to Greece.

Mačković and Pimenov won the silver medal at the World Championships in Amsterdam five days ago, and on August 1, they claimed gold at the European Championships in Varese.

The Serbian team has won 34 medals so far at the Mediterranean Games: seven gold, 10 silver and 17 bronze medals.
