BANJA LUKA, October 23 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić spoke about his wartime experience, patriotism, the Serbian national question and the preservation of national identity on the "Otadžbina" podcast produced by the Republika Srpska Memorial Center.

Speaking about his wartime experience, Minić said they had not been aware at the time of the military force they were facing, but had not considered retreating or abandoning their homes.

He also reflected on the fate of families who lost fathers, brothers and sons, stressing that the pain and sacrifice of their loved ones had not been forgotten, even decades later.

Discussing the preservation of national identity and the importance of fostering a culture of remembrance, he emphasized the responsibility to uphold historical truth and pass it on to future generations.

The conversation also addressed the suffering of Serbs, the position of Serb victims in international public discourse, the work of the Hague Tribunal, efforts to find missing persons, and the responsibility of Republika Srpska's institutions to systematically preserve historical records and testimonies, the Memorial Center said in a statement.

Minić presented a tricolor flag to the Memorial Center's staff, highlighting the importance of national symbols in preserving a sense of belonging, unity and connection with one's people and homeland.

"I will give you this flag because your work is precisely about ensuring that the truth is recognized under our flag and that we are recognized in the world, because this flag has never been on the wrong side of history," Minić said.

The "Otadžbina" podcast will be available tomorrow from 7:00 p.m. on the Republika Srpska Memorial Center's YouTube channel, on Spotify and on social media.
