WITH FRENCH MEP ON BETTER POSITIONING OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA'S INTERESTS

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 28 /SRNA/ – A delegation of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, headed by its Speaker Nenad Stevandić, met in Strasbourg with French Member of European Parliament Aleksandar Nikolić to discuss better positioning of Republika Srpska's interests.

"Topics were discussed at the meeting such as the illegal activities by Christian Schmidt without the UN Security Council's decision, support for European integration without losing identity, the national and constitutional sovereignty Republika Srpska has, as well as improving the positioning of Republika Srpska's interests not only in the European Parliament but also in France," Stevandić said.

He added that they expressed gratitude to Nikolić for his understanding and extended an invitation for cooperation, inviting him or a delegation of his party to visit Republika Srpska, announced the Republika Srpska National Assembly.

Stevandić said they also wished Nikolić and his party success in upcoming elections.

Nikolić, together with the Federation of Young Serbs of Europe, is the organiser of the exhibition "Jasenovac Concentration Camp: Memory and Legacy," which was opened yesterday in the European Parliament building.
