ZVORNIK, JULY 7 /SRNA/ - The Zvornik City Organization of Families of Captured and Fallen Soldiers and Missing Civilians suspects that the remains of around one hundred Serb victims are buried in Potočari, the organization's president Milivoje Marković said today.

"We are demanding answers about the whereabouts of our missing. What happened with Glođansko Hill? Is it possible that the fate of the eight Serb soldiers who disappeared on Glođansko Hill on November 6, 1992, is still unknown?" Marković asked.

Following the organization's regular annual assembly, marking 28 years of its existence and work, Marković told reporters that burials are held in Potočari every year, while Serbs still do not know what happened to the remains of Serb victims who disappeared from the areas where people were killed.

He stressed that they have continuously sought information about the missing and have sent numerous inquiries to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH asking how far the investigation into the events at Glođansko Hill has progressed, saying it is inconceivable that the whereabouts of eight people remain unknown.

Speaking about the Missing Persons Institute, Marković said the organization cooperates with its two Serb members, but that cooperation with the others is impossible.

Marković emphasized that the Serb members would come to Zvornik to search for missing persons, but that some individuals within the Institute have been denying them travel authorizations for years.

Following the assembly, wreaths were laid at the memorial dedicated to the 1,080 soldiers who were killed during the Defensive-Patriotic War.
