ŠIPOVO, APRIL 28 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Family, Youth and Sports Irena Ignjatović visited the Vujnić family in Šipovo today, who recently welcomed triplets Georgina, Strahinja and Damjan, and presented them with gifts.
The proud parents said they were happy about the birth of Georgina, Strahinja and Damjan, noting that they are strongly connected to Šipovo and plan to remain there.
Ignjatović said she is confident that the babies will grow up surrounded by parental love.
“I believe they will need daily help and support in every sense,” Ignjatović told reporters, adding that today they brought modest gifts, including baby seats, to help the parents.
She wished the babies a happy childhood, good health, success, and to grow into good and successful young people, to the pride of their parents and of Republika Srpska.
The triplets were born on March 9. Father Nikola, who has been married to Ilijana since 2021, said that in the municipality of Šipovo it is unprecedented in the last 50 years for both parents, born and residing in the same local community, to have triplets.
He thanked the minister and her associates for the visit and the gifts, saying they will be of great help in raising the three babies.
“The babies are doing well. There is a bit of fear and chaos, but my husband and I work as a team and manage everything. We adjusted quickly,” Vujnić said.
Grandmother Živana Grčić said she is the proudest grandmother in all of Šipovo, with eleven grandchildren, and that she was overjoyed when her daughter told her she would give birth to triplets.
