UNEQUIVOCAL SUPPORT TO DIALOG AND CONSENSUS, NOT IMPOSITION, BY THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 29 /SRNA/ - The UN Security Council unequivocally supported the dialogue between the two entities and three peoples in BiH, as well as consensus, not imposition, which was the practice until now, mostly to the detriment of the Serb people, political scientist Vojislav Savić assessed for SRNA.

"The UN Security Council underlined with its position that the time of voluntarist international interventionism in favor of the forcible unitization of BiH has passed, and they stated the situation that Serb representatives have been talking about for years," said Savić.

He emphasized that in the joint statement of the members of the UN Security Council, no one was singled out, that Republika Srpska and its leadership were not "marked as a target", while Christian Schmidt does not seem to exist, which is true because this body has never named him.

Savić stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina is only possible within the framework agreed in Dayton, and that he hopes that there will be a minimum of common sense in Sarajevo to finally understand the message sent and to start a dialogue about the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Otherwise, they will have nothing to negotiate because the state will disintegrate peacefully," Savić said.

He stated that Bosniak politicians in Sarajevo had been given false hope for years that they would get the entire country to govern, that people who are no longer politically relevant today brought Bosniak politicians to the position they are in now.

"The first messages we received from Sarajevo say that they are still in double despair. First, that they have put themselves in the position they are in now, and secondly, that they do not accept to understand the reality," said Savić.

He added that the politicians in Sarajevo have been pampered by the international community for years, that they are convinced that they can use a magic wand to win over the entire country and that Serbs and Croats will submit to them politically.

"They will have to come to a painful sobriety, which, unfortunately, will be difficult for their public to accept," Savić concluded.

The members of the UN Security Council called on the political representatives of the two entities in BiH and the three constituent nations and others to respect the provisions of the Dayton Peace Accords and the Constitution, and to engage in honest, open and constructive dialogue with the aim of preserving the unity and political stability of the country.

In a joint statement, the members of the UN Security Council pointed to the need to resolve disputes by consensus and avoid confrontations in order to preserve peace and stability.
