BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 29 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska recorded a total foreign trade volume of USD 6.8 billion in the first 11 months of this year, while export coverage of imports stood at 70.5 percent, according to data from the Republika Srpska Institute of Statistics.
The value of exports in the first 11 months amounted to USD 2.81 billion, representing an increase of 9.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
Imports during the same period totalled USD 3.99 billion, up 7.2 percent in comparison to the last year.
The largest volume of foreign trade, USD 1.2 billion, was recorded with Serbia, accounting for 17.6 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
Serbia is followed by Italy with USD 840.1 million, and Croatia with USD 769.46 million.
By economic groupings of countries, Republika Srpska recorded exports of USD 1.97 billion to EU countries in the first 11 months of this year, while imports from the EU amounted to USD 2.2 billion.
The value of exports to EU markets increased by 7.5 percent, while imports rose by three percent compared to the same period last year.
