BANJA LUKA, JUNE 9 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Transport and Communications of Republika Srpska Zoran Stevanović stated that it is very important to encourage development by increasing the number of passengers at the Banja Luka Airport and that Srpska opens up to the region, as well as Europe.
Stevanović, at the ceremony on the occasion of the realization of the first promotional flight on the Tivat-Banja Luka-Tivat route, pointed out that the Government of Srpska will do everything to ensure that the flight to Tivat is just one in a series of flights at the Banja Luka Airport.
"This is an important day for the Banja Luka Airport, but also beyond," Stevanović told reporters.
The Director of Aerodromi Republike Srpske Valentina Kecman said that the airline route to Tivat is very important for the citizens of Srpska, but also as the establishment of a direct airline between Srpska and Montenegro.
"The citizens of Srpska have the opportunity to reach the Montenegrin coast in 35 minutes," said Kecman at the Banja Luka Airport.
She added that during the promotional period over the past month, the price of a return ticket was 107 euros, and that in the upcoming period, the price will vary depending on the plane's occupancy, as is the case with any other airline.
The Director of Air Montenegro Vukadin Stojanović expressed hope that cooperation with Republika Srpska will be successfully continued, adding that only the flight is new, while "everything else is old - both acquaintances and friends."
The Director of Aerodromi Crne Gore Roko Tolić emphasized that this is a route to his hometown of Banja Luka, which, as he pointed out, evokes special emotions.
Aviation analyst Alen Šćurica pointed out that great efforts have been made over the last two years to realize this airline route, and expressed his belief that flights between Banja Luka and Tivat will continue next year as well.
