STEVANDIĆ: TRADITION AND FRIENDSHIP OF THE SERBIAN AND RUSSIAN PEOPLE DO NOT THREATEN ANYONE

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 23 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić pointed out at a meeting with the President of the International Public Fund for the Unity of Orthodox Nations Valery Alekseyev that activities that promote the common culture of the Russian and Serbian people take place in Srpska every day.

Stevandić emphasized that the traditions and friendship shared by the Serbian and Russian peoples do not endanger anyone and that they will not adapt to modern geopolitical circumstances, the National Assembly of Srpska announced.

Alekseeyv introduced Stevandić to the work and activities of the International Public Fund for the Unity of Orthodox Nations, and called for the National Assembly of Republika Srpska to be a permanent participant in the conferences organized by this foundation.

He emphasized that culture and religion are the common link between the Serbian and Russian people.

During the meeting in Banja Luka, Stevandić handed over the book "Armature of Sovereignty" to Alekseyev.

The meeting was also attended by the charge d'affaires, deputy ambassador of the Russian Federation in BiH, Andrey Morozov, and the head of the Office of the Russian Federation Embassy in Banja Luka, Yuri Pichugin.
