BELGRADE, AUGUST 31 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, stressed that Republika Srpska will not have two presidents, as Sarajevo hopes, and that the Federation of BiH will not choose the president of Srpska.
"According to the Constitution of Republika Srpska, there are not two presidents, and there cannot be two presidents of Srpska. That is the only real answer to all those who wish for some other solution," Stevandić emphasized.
He reminded that Republika Srpska has its president, and that is Milorad Dodik, adding that any administrative decisions cannot dispute the number of votes and the support Dodik enjoys.
Stevandić emphasized that Christian Schmidt has introduced lawlessness in BiH and that Republika Srpska is trying with all its strength to preserve legality.
"Just as the referendum is important, it is equally important that we base our future decisions on its results. There is no greater legitimacy than the will of the people, and it is the will of the people that will decide — not the will of illegal /High Representative/ Schmidt and rigged court proceedings," Stevandić told Večernje Novosti.
He pointed out that Republika Srpska did not take the first step either toward separatism, secession, or resistance until it became clear that there was a defined intention to de-institutionalize it and to prohibit it from expressing itself democratically and electing its representatives.
