BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 6 /SRNA/ - President of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nenad Stevandić said that Srpska is winning, regardless of the most recent decision of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH.
"The attempt to put CEC's final seal on the most shameful and the most hypocritical decision, and the violation of human rights and the Dayton Peace Agreement from Christian Schmidt, Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, will only further destroy relations in BiH, as well as this country," Stevandić told SRNA.
He pointed out that there is no possibility that Republika Srpska will lose in any form, but will only be stronger after the CEC's decision.
"They have now made the president of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik not just a personal name and surname with a birth certificate, but it is now the name of the politics of the Republika Srpska. In the conditions where they would now violently organize elections, with the help of NATO and weapons, everyone would vote for a policy that bears the name of Milorad Dodik," Stevandić said.
According to him, the latest decisions are a complete collapse and have done more harm to BiH than anyone else.
CEC made a decision today on termination of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik's mandate, after he was elected in the 2022 general elections. The president is allowed to appeal.
The CEC's decision to terminate the mandate of was made after the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH upheld an earlier first-instance verdict in which the President of Republika Srpska was sentenced to one year in prison and six years of political activity ban "for disobeying the decisions of Christian Schmidt".
