STEVANDIĆ: REPUBLIKA SRPSKA DOES NOT IMPOSE ITS SYMBOLS ON FBIH

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 30 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska does not impose its symbols on the Federation of BiH, Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić pointed out.

Commenting on a request by SDA and Democratic Front deputies in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for a constitutional review of provisions of the Republika Srpska Criminal Code concerning symbols of the so-called Army of BiH, Stevandić said that those deputies had themselves been members of that army, which he accused of committing crimes against Serbs.

"If there are people who can come to Manjača carrying the flag of the so-called Army of BiH, or someone who would go somewhere in the Federation of BiH carrying symbols of the Army of Republika Srpska, such people are not aware of the situation we are in," said Stevandić, who believes that such actions are provoking conflict.

He noted that Republika Srpska is making efforts to prevent such a conflict.
