STEVANDIĆ: AWARE HE CAUSED GREAT DAMAGE, SCHMIDT WANTS TO LEAVE

BANJA LUKA, MAY 11 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić says that Christian Schmidt has destroyed interethnic relations in BiH and wants to leave the country because he is aware that he has caused significant damage.

"We have created a situation in which Republika Srpska has outlived Schmidt, but also all those who came before him. Schmidt has destroyed interethnic relations in BiH, caused damage to international politicians, and brought BiH to the brink of war," Stevandić said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He stressed that the persistence of Republika Srpska’s leadership led to Schmidt’s departure.

Regarding the visit to Russia, Stevandić said that Republika Srpska is respected in Russia because of its principled positions.

"Because of that, even the West wants to talk to us, which is the result of persistence and determination. We are capable of withstanding all challenges," Stevandić added.

He said that Republika Srpska officials in Moscow did not mention other peoples.

"We did not discuss anyone else, only Srpska. We do not want to harm anyone, nor do we want the West to condition our relationship with Russia," Stevandić emphasized.
