SRPSKA HAS SOVEREIGNIST GOVERNMENT THAT MAKES ITS OWN DECISIONS

BANJA LUKA, JULY 16 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić said that Republika Srpska has a sovereignist government that makes its own decisions and does not act according to the expectations of others, including European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.

"I am proud that we remain a sovereignist Republic, with a sovereignist government that makes its own decisions, not according to the orders of Marta Kos or various foreign branches trying to push others' agendas here. Those aren't even the goals of the Bosniaks, they’re just being used, but they haven't realized it yet," Stevandić said.

He emphasized that no one in the Republika Srpska government is subordinate to Kos or does what others expect, but only what the people expect. His comments came in response to Marta Kos's request that the National Assembly withdraw what she called "secessionist" laws.

Stevandić adds that if repealing any laws passed by the National Assembly were to result in real benefits for Republika Srpska and its institutions, or strengthen its international position, the government would assess whether that would be the right course of action.
