BIJELJINA, JANUARY 7 /SRNA/ – The situation on the Drina River is stabilizing today, with a slight decline in water levels recorded across all sectors, the Vode Srpske Public Institution announced.
Conditions at the Višegrad, Bajina Bašta, and Zvornik hydropower plants are stable, with significantly lower inflow and discharge compared to the previous day.
Water levels have also leveled off in the lower course of the Drina River at the Radalj gauging station.
The statement said that during the night, the Drina River level at the Radalj gauging station reached 503 centimeters, exceeding the emergency flood defense threshold of 500 centimeters.
This was followed by a period of stagnation, and at 10:00 a.m. today the water level was recorded at 480 centimeters, which is within the limits of regular flood defense.
Vode Srpske emphasized that relevant services remain on alert throughout the entire Drina River basin.
