SERBIA PROVIDES 10 MILLION EUROS IN SUPPORT OF THE MOTORWAY

BANJA LUKA, JULY 10 /SRNA/ - Serbia's decision to allocate 10 million euros for the continuation of the Bijeljina–Rača motorway construction is a confirmation of a strong partnership and a commitment to implementing projects of mutual interest, the Republika Srpska Ministry of Finance told SRNA.

The ministry said that Serbia's support for projects in Republika Srpska is of exceptional importance and represents a significant contribution to its development.

"The Bijeljina–Rača motorway is one of the most important infrastructure projects in Republika Srpska, as it will enable faster and safer transport links with Serbia, improve freight and passenger traffic, create better conditions for economic development and new investments, and further strengthen regional cooperation," the ministry said.

The Ministry of Finance highlighted that Republika Srpska appreciates Serbia's ongoing support and is confident that their successful cooperation will continue.

The Government of Republika Srpska yesterday accepted a 10 million euro donation from the Government of Serbia /BAM 19,558,300/, intended for co-financing the construction of the Rača–Bijeljina motorway section.

The donation was made under the cooperation mechanism established by the Agreement on Special Parallel Relations between Republika Srpska and Serbia.
