BANJA LUKA, MAY 21 /SRNA/ - The Science Festival in Banja Luka has shown that science has no geographical or generational boundaries and is accessible to everyone, said Professor Dalibor Kesić of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Banja Luka.

Kesić stressed that science can be interesting if presented in the right way, noting that it can be very dynamic and intriguing.

"We hope that many of these young people at the Festival will become future students of the University of Banja Luka", Kesić told reporters in Banja Luka, where the 14th Science Festival was opened at the University Campus.

Mirjana Lukić from the Institute of Historical Studies of the University of Istočno Sarajevo said that the higher education institution has the opportunity at the Science Festival in Banja Luka to present the work of its members.

Lukić stressed that young people at the event can get to know science in an interesting and practical way and understand that knowledge is accessible but also inspiring.

"This is an opportunity for them to be encouraged to develop their creative abilities and to become familiar with them", Lukić said.

The robot Robi said that Banja Luka is once again the center of science this year and that visitors will be able to see more than 100 different experiments.

"The Science Festival is not a place where we learn facts, but a place where we awaken imagination, ask questions and encourage young people so that tomorrow they can become future scientists, innovators and creators", Robi said, inviting everyone to visit the Festival.

This year's festival is being held at two locations - the University City campus and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka, where visitors will have the opportunity to visit a planetarium, aquarium and terrarium.

More than 20 faculties from the universities of Banja Luka and Istočno Sarajevo, the Institute for Genetic Resources, the Public Health Institute of Republika Srpska, the Police Training Administration of the Ministry of the Interior, as well as several secondary schools, are presenting at the festival.
