RESPONSIBLE POLICY HALTED A DECEITFUL AND DESTRUCTIVE ATTACK ON SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 19 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik, the Government of Republika Srpska, and the National Assembly have achieved one of the strategic victories for Srpska and the Serbian people - the most important success since the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the "Defense of Srpska" Movement announced.

The statement said that in this difficult struggle, marked by a great imbalance in political and overall power, a frontal, deceitful, and destructive attack on Srpska was stopped. The aim of that attack, the movement stressed, was to seize Srpska’s property, break its political and collective will, and ultimately destroy its constitutional competences.

"This has been prevented and stopped," the statement emphasized.

The "Defense of Srpska" Movement stated that President Dodik demonstrated exceptional patriotism and political responsibility during the persistent effort to position Republika Srpska and the Serbian people as forces for peace, stability, and prosperity across BiH and the region.

"We welcome and support the statesmanlike and nationally responsible steps taken by President Dodik, which have been implemented through the recent decisions of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska," the statement said.

The movement underlined that Republika Srpska has shown vitality and strength, being recognized as a subject in international relations and a factor of peace and stability in BiH and beyond.

"Dodik has borne the greatest personal and political sacrifice - a sacrifice for Republika Srpska and the Serbian people. That is a special virtue of a leader and a national statesman. This is a national accomplishment worthy of the respect of every person for whom Republika Srpska, peace, and prosperity come first," the statement continued.

The "Defense of Srpska" Movement called on all patriotic forces in Republika Srpska to rally around President Dodik, emphasizing that the determined struggle for peace, stability, and prosperity of Republika Srpska and all people in this region - regardless of differences - continues.

"We are confident that with national unity and the leadership of President Dodik, Republika Srpska and all well-intentioned people in BiH and the region have a realistic and sustainable future," the movement concluded.
