PUTIN WAS TOLD THAT UN SECURITY COUNCIL SHOULD DECLARE SCHMIDT'S DECISIONS NULL AND VOID

MOSCOW, MAY 9 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, it was emphasized that Christian Schmidt is illegitimate and cannot make any decisions, expressing confidence that the United Nations Security Council will declare them null and void because that is the only proper course of action.

Dodik stated that the Russian Federation consistently and without hesitation expresses its views at the Security Council regarding the situations in both Republika Srpska and BiH.

"That is very important for us, to maintain focus, and that a clear and rigorous position of the Russian Federation will certainly be presented at a session that will be held in New York City in three days," Dodik said after the meeting between the delegation of Republika Srpska and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He added that the meeting with Putin confirmed cooperation at the strategic level, as had already been defined earlier.

Dodik added that it was important for the Russian side to see that, regardless of disgraceful developments in Republika Srpska related to the elections and attacks against its president, this remains a policy of continuity and will stay at the level of strategic cooperation.

"At no point did we feel any kind of change in relations. On the contrary, even more attention was devoted to certain issues than before," Dodik said.

Dodik congratulated those present on Victory Day, a victory that was forged through the blood of 28 million citizens of the Soviet Union, the majority of whom were Russians.

He stressed that it was a great honor for the delegation of Republika Srpska to attend all the events in Moscow.

The delegation also included Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan and the Speaker of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandić.
