MRKAJIĆ: ONE OF THE FEW COMPANIES WITH 82-YEAR-LONG TRADITION

BIJELJINA, OCTOBER 30 /SRNA/ – Orao military industry company is one of the few companies that can boast an 82-year-long tradition, above all, in terms of its highly skilled workforce and specialised technologies at its disposal, company director Marko Mrkajić has said.

"Orao is one of the leaders in the region and beyond," Mrkajić told the press ahead of a ceremony marking the company's 82nd anniversary.

Mrkajić pointed out that several new programmes had been launched over the past year, since he took over as head of the company, including a helicopter engine overhaul programme.

"We acquired licences from the Canadian company Pratt & Whitney, renovated the factory, and procured spare parts and tools. We will begin engine overhauls as of the beginning of the next year, which will open up business opportunities for us in the civil aviation market," Mrkajić said.
