HAN PIJESAK, AUGUST 30 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić called today for unity and solidarity at the gathering of demobilized veterans in Han Pijesak, urging everyone to work for Republika Srpska and remember the fallen soldiers who made sacrifice for the entity.
Minić stressed that Republika Srpska, which was founded at the cost of great sacrifice, should unite Serbs.
"Serb veteran, hold your head high. We have Republika Srpska. We must continue to fight for it. I urge you to unite and stand together," Minić said.
He stressed that the Serbian tricolor had always been on the right side of history, never on the side of fascism or Nazism.
Minić said it would never be forgotten that some people have hostile intentions toward the Serb people, whom they portray as being at fault.
"Whenever we were not organized, you know what they did to us? They killed us in every possible way," Minić said.
He reminded that decisions made in Han Pijesak had helped save the Serb people.
"That is why we know why we are here today, and that is why we know that when we work for Republika Srpska, there is no sacrifice we would not be willing to make for it," Minić said.
He expressed hope that an even larger gathering would take place at the same location next year and concluded: "Long live Srpska!"
