BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 2 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister-designate for the formation of the new Government of Republika Srpska Savo Minić said that the new Government will, throughout its mandate, promote and stress the position established by the Dayton Agreement that Srpska is a party to the Dayton and a signatory of all its annexes, as well as a side that was internationally recognized during the harmonization of the Geneva and New York Principles which preceded the Dayton negotiations.
"We must persistently repeat this truth, and demonstrate the same determination and unity that our representatives had at the moment when they signed the mentioned principles and the Dayton Agreement," said Minić, presenting the program of the Government of Srpska to the deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
He reminded that Republika Srpska has countless times proven that it is an open and democratic society, solely committed to peace, stability and coexistence of all citizens, regardless of national or religious affiliation, political, ideological or any other orientation.
"We have been brought to a historic crossroads where we must provide a definite answer to the question of whether Republika Srpska will exist within the framework of the Dayton Agreement or disappear in a fabricated and unjust BiH, which no longer rests on the agreement of peoples and entities, but on unconstitutional and extra-institutional impositions.
The response of the institutions of Srpska and the future Government is clear – we remain faithful to the original Dayton and the defense of our constitutional positions by all democratic and political means. Republika Srpska is a permanent fact, it is not a subject of negotiation, and without it there can be neither stability nor a future for BiH," the Prime Minister-designate Minić conveyed.
He stressed that the new Government of Republika Srpska is committed to returning to the original Dayton.
"Starting today, we invite the representatives of the other two constituent peoples to a dialogue and extend a hand of cooperation on the path of peacefully resolving this, so far the greatest, constitutional and political crisis in BiH.
The historic moment and the course of events that led to today's session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and the election of the new Government oblige us to carry a heavy burden in the coming period – and we will do so without hesitation!" Minić said. /to be continued/
