BANJA LUKA, APRIL 24 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said he had noticed that many were surprised by the amount of funds the Government has allocated for projects in Banja Luka.
In a post on X, Minić listed some of the projects in Banja Luka financed or co-financed by the Government, including procurement of equipment for the Public Health Institution Institute of Transfusion Medicine, construction of the Serb-Russian church and accompanying spiritual and cultural center, establishment of a Cyber Academy, and investment in the "Srpske Toplice" spa and recreation center.
Among the projects, he also mentioned the construction of transport infrastructure within the university campus, rehabilitation, adaptation, and restoration of the Milanović House, as well as reconstruction and renovation of the Center for Education and Rehabilitation of Hearing and Speech in Banja Luka.
He further listed investment projects in the University City, renovation of Pavilion Three at the "Nikola Tesla" Student Center, procurement of equipment for the District Commercial Court, restoration of monastery walls and residential quarters at Gomionica Monastery, and construction of facilities for special police and gendarmerie units, along with a parking area in Zalužani.
Other projects funded or co-funded by the Government include construction and equipping of the Constitutional Court building, furnishing of the State Attorney's Office premises, procurement of vehicles for the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, reconstruction and upgrading of school facilities, and equipping the Cardiac Surgery Clinic at the University Clinical Center.
Minić also highlighted renovation of the Infectious Diseases Clinic, reconstruction of the main pitch at the Banja Luka City Stadium, procurement of equipment for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, renovation of installations at the Banja Luka Gymnasium, construction of the Police Academy building, the Faculty of Forestry, and numerous other investments.
The Prime Minister said yesterday that since December 2022, the Government of Republika Srpska has invested BAM 510 million in Banja Luka and announced that BAM one million will soon be paid into the city budget for the construction permit for the Science and Technology Park building.
