ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JULY 26 /SRNA/ – The sale of the Monument Hotel on Mrakovica should not be allowed under any circumstances because Kozara is soaked in the blood of our ancestors and is sacred Serb land, Branimir Kojić, director of the Memorial Centre for Serb Victims of the Central Podrinje and Birač Region, told SRNA.

"The Serb people must finally begin defending what our grandfathers, fathers, and brothers entrusted to us. No Arabs or businessmen from the Third World should be given the opportunity to trade in our sacred land, especially not in places that are execution sites," Kojić said.

Commenting on a letter of intent from a company whose name resembles that of a well-known Arab business group expressing interest in purchasing the Monument Hotel on Mrakovica, Kojić said that those who believe Kozara was chosen by chance are gravely mistaken.

"Brčko, Prijedor, and Srebrenica are targets of those who want BiH based on the Islamic Declaration, said Kojić, who also serves as head of the Organisation of Families of Captured and Fallen Soldiers and Missing Civilians of Srebrenica.

He said that the Republika Srpska institutions must do everything possible to protect property throughout the entity from new attacks, just as they have opposed past efforts by Christian Schmidt to seize sacred Serb land.

"Not a single piece of land in Republika Srpska should be subject to trade. Kozara's history is the suffering one, which is an additional reason to ban the sale of the Monument Hotel to Arabs or to anyone else who is not a Serb," Kojić concluded.
