EAST SARAJEVO, APRIL 23 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, called the arrival of members of the Agency for Investigation and Protection (SIPA) of BiH in East Sarajevo tonight a provocation, emphasizing that they have violated the law and that criminal proceedings will be initiated.
“We already have information that the actions of SIPA not only violate the laws of Republika Srpska, but are also anti-Dayton and unconstitutional. It has been shown that certain members of the agency are personally motivated and, according to general checks, should not have even been members of that agency,” Karan said.
He emphasized that tonight’s event in East Sarajevo is a pure provocation by those who aim to destabilize BiH and Republika Srpska, and want to turn this political, constitutional, and Dayton crisis into a security crisis. He further stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska will not allow this, and that citizens can remain calm.
Karan stated at a press conference in East Sarajevo that Republika Srpska remains a peaceful and stable place to live, as it has been for the past 30 years, and assured that it will remain so.
He emphasized that peace is the greatest value, and that the Ministry of Internal Affairs guarantees peace for all citizens, regardless of their faith or nationality, just as the President of the Republic, the National Assembly, and the Government of Republika Srpska guarantee the constitutional and legal position of Srpska, as well as its defense and institutions.
Karan noted that Republika Srpska has been under attack continuously for 30 years in various ways—through the High Representatives, the Constitutional Court, and now attempts are being made to attack it through regular law enforcement agencies, by those trying to deliver the final blow to Republika Srpska.
According to Karan, the latest intervention by Christian Schmidt and those accompanying him—the unconstitutional Prosecutor’s Office and Court of BiH, and the Agency for Investigation and Protection of BiH—are dealing the final blow to this anti-Dayton and unconstitutional BiH.
Karan emphasized that the institutions of Republika Srpska have found ways to defend themselves, to protect the constitutional, legal, and political order, as well as the overall security order of Srpska.
He added that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska has passed a number of laws to prevent unconstitutional actions by unconstitutional and anti-Dayton institutions, particularly the actions of Schmidt, the unconstitutional Court, the Prosecutor’s Office, and SIPA.
Karan said that those who came to the territory of Republika Srpska tonight violated the laws of Srpska and reminded that these laws have invalidated and prohibited the operation of the unconstitutional Prosecutor’s Office and Court of BiH, as well as SIPA.
“We will initiate the necessary actions, and I urge the Prosecutor’s Office of Republika Srpska to initiate criminal proceedings against those who violated the laws of Srpska,” Karan emphasized.
He assured that all citizens of Srpska can remain calm, as the Ministry of Internal Affairs has enough capacity to protect them, as well as all institutions and the holders of the most important constitutional institutions.
Karan emphasized that all institutions of Srpska are performing and will continue to perform their duties, stressing that Republika Srpska is a peaceful place to live, both politically and in terms of security.
