BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan said that after the horrors of the Holocaust and genocide against the Serbs in the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/, the Jewish and the Serb people have permanent obligation to keep historical facts from oblivion, and to persistently protect freedom, identity and the right to exist.
During the meeting in Banja Luka with Iddo Netanyahu, an Israeli doctor, writer and playwright, Karan expressed his satisfaction regarding Netanyahu's visit to Banja Luka and Republika Srpska, it was announced from the Cabinet of the President of Republika Srpska.
"This kind of meetings represent the additional contribution to deepening the traditional friendship between the Serb and the Jewish people, as well as the strengthening the relations between Republika Srpska and Israel.
Karan said he was honored to attend yesterday's promotion of Id Netanyahu's book "Yoni's Last Battle: The Entebbe Rescue Operation, 1976".
