ROGATICA, AUGUST 13 /SRNA/ – The President of the Rogatica Municipal Assembly, Siniša Janković, stated that the Sarajevo–Schmidt process against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is a planned and coordinated political-legal strike, the ultimate goal of which is the destruction and undermining of the institutions of Republika Srpska, guaranteed by the Dayton Peace Accords.
"The Bosniak political bloc no longer even hides the fact that it is trying to draw opposition parties from Republika Srpska into its ranks, presenting this as an alleged ‘fight against the destroyers of BiH,’ while in reality it is an attempt to create internal divisions among Serbs, weaken the united political front, and neutralize any resistance to the unitarization of BiH," Janković told SRNA.
He pointed out that this is not about the political fate of one man, but about the defense of the institutions, the constitutional position of Srpska, and its very survival.
"Any attack on the legally elected representatives of Srpska, whether wrapped in judicial proceedings or political campaigns, is an attack on the will of the people and on the autonomous rights guaranteed to our institutions," Janković said.
He said that Republika Srpska will remain determined and united in defending its competences regardless of pressures, fabricated processes, and attempts at political trade in Sarajevo.
"Those who think that changing the names on indictments will break Srpska’s resistance are deeply mistaken – they will not silence the voice of the people who are determined to defend the institutions, especially the President of the Republic and the National Assembly of Srpska," Janković concluded.
