GRADIŠKA, APRIL 24 /SRNA/ – The three-day International Fair of Economy, Agriculture, Tourism, Education and Employment was opened today in Gradiška, featuring more than 140 domestic and foreign exhibitors.
The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska, Anđelka Kuzmić, said that the fair in Gradiška, in terms of the number of exhibitors and modern technologies presented, is highly significant for the business community and shows that Republika Srpska can successfully respond to new market demands.
She noted that in the past three years alone, BAM 102 million have been invested in Gradiška in areas covered by the ministry she heads, adding that the Government of Republika Srpska will continue to support projects and activities of city authorities.
Kuzmić emphasized that Gradiška is a strategically important city for Republika Srpska, due to its size as well as its financial and political stability, which guarantees the security of all investments.
She also congratulated the citizens of Gradiška on City Day, April 24.
The Mayor of Gradiška Zoran Adžić said after the opening that this fourth International Fair in Gradiška has become a major regional event, where more than 140 exhibitors are presenting their offer across 5,000 square meters of exhibition space.
He stressed that the event clearly demonstrates the interconnectedness and cooperation between the business sector and city and educational institutions.
Adžić noted that the fair provides an opportunity for local entrepreneurs, farmers and other domestic exhibitors to present their products and services and establish new business contacts with exhibitors from other cities in the region.
He thanked the institutions of Republika Srpska for their support in organizing the fair, as well as for supporting all city initiatives aimed at utilizing Gradiška's geostrategic position and investment potential, which is confirmed by the highest level of BFC certification.
Adžić added that Gradiška is an ideal location for investment and opening new production facilities, thanking local businesses for continuing to develop and hire new workers even under very challenging conditions, resulting in 100 percent export coverage of imports.
The fair at the Arena will remain open until Sunday, April 26, and is part of the events marking Gradiška City Day, April 24.
City Day is marked on April 24 in commemoration of the 81st anniversary of Gradiška's liberation from fascism in World War II.
