BRATUNAC, JULY 1 /SRNA/ – President of the Organization of Families of Imprisoned and Fallen Soldiers of Bratunac Radojka Filipović stated that Serbs must not forget the 3,267 compatriots killed in Central Podrinje region and must persistently call out the perpetrators so that the BiH judiciary finally wakes up and realizes that it is degrading itself to absurdity.

She said that the BiH judiciary should realize that it is casting doubt on the justification of its existence with its thirty years of one-sided verdicts, among which there is not a single one for the Muslim mass crimes against Serbs.

"We must diligently nurture the culture of remembrance," Filipović told SRNA, calling on all members of the Organization of Families of Imprisoned and Fallen Soldiers, patriots, and especially the youth, to attend the memorial service on Saturday, July 5, marking 33 years since the beginning of Serb suffering in Middle Podrinje and Birč.

Filipović emphasized that Muslim forces committed horrific crimes on major Orthodox holidays with the intent of erasing Serbs from the left bank of the Drina River.

"All Serb villages were destroyed, Serbs were killed, leaving neither children nor the elderly. The killings were organized, planned, and continuous, carried out by members of the Srebrenica 28th Division of the so-called Army of BiH under the command of Naser Orić, and to this day no one has been held accountable for numerous mass crimes against Serbs," Filipović stated.

According to her, justice is indeed slow but achievable if everyone does their job, as is their duty to the 3,267 victims who gave their lives for Republika Srpska and the freedom of the Serb people.

Filipović stressed that this must never be forgotten and that Republika Srpska must be preserved, as it is the only guarantee for the survival of Serbs in these areas and the preservation of their dignity, culture, and history.

On Saturday, July 5, Bratunac will mark 33 years since the crimes against 3,267 Serbs from Central Podrinje and Birač, with the presence of officials from Republika Srpska and Serbia, as well as His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.
