DODIK: WOMEN IN SNSD PLAY VITAL ROLE IN POLITICAL AND SOCIAL LIFE

TESLIĆ, MARCH 7 /SRNA/ – SNSD President Milorad Dodik said in Teslić this evening that the party has entrusted its female members with the most responsible social and political positions, noting that this has always proven successful and that women have performed their duties in the best possible way.

"SNSD produced the first woman who served as prime minister of Republika Srpska and a member of the BiH Presidency. We have many female ministers and members of parliament. We do not just talk about it - we strive to ensure that women hold responsible state and political positions so they can demonstrate their abilities," Dodik said at the International Women’s Day celebration organized this evening in Teslić by the SNSD Municipal Board.

Dodik emphasized that celebrating March 8 is a wonderful tradition within SNSD.

"We hold such celebrations in almost all municipal boards. Tonight alone we are celebrating in five municipal and city boards across Republika Srpska. We want to be part of the day dedicated to women," Dodik said.

He added that SNSD is recognizable for the large number of women actively engaged in party activities across municipal and city boards.

"Their experiences are wonderful, especially when they travel together, organize trips or celebrations like this. It brings back hope for the revival of social gatherings that have been neglected due to the influence of social networks," Dodik stressed.

According to him, special attention should be given to the humanitarian actions organized by SNSD women’s groups aimed at helping families, especially children.

"Tonight we want to thank them for everything they do," Dodik said, congratulating all women on International Women’s Day.

The President of the SNSD Women’s Forum in Teslić Biljana Kuzmanović said she hopes March 8 will be dedicated to respect and equality, and to highlighting the role and importance of women in the family and society.

"Judging by the large number of women gathered here tonight, our party recognized the importance of women a long time ago," Kuzmanović stressed.

The President of the SNSD Municipal Board in Teslić Radislav Đurić said the celebration represents recognition for women, as they are the backbone of the family and society.
