BANJA LUKA, APRIL 5 /SRNA/ - SNSD president Milorad Dodik expressed support for the efforts of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to protect energy infrastructure and ensure the safety of citizens.
Dodik pointed out that attempts to endanger key energy routes through terrorism and sabotage represent an attack not only on the two countries but also on the stability of the entire region.
"Energy security is a matter of peace, development, and the future of our peoples. Republika Srpska stands with Serbia and Hungary in their determination to prevent and sanction such attempts," Dodik wrote on X.
Two backpacks containing around four kilograms of plastic explosive, along with materials for assembling an explosive device, were found in the area of the villages of Velebit, Zimonjić, and Trešnjevac near Kanjiža, in the immediate vicinity of the gas pipeline with Hungary, according to the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Subotica.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić informed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán about the explosives found near the gas pipeline connecting the two countries, after which Orbán convened an urgent session of the National Security Council.
