BANJA LUKA, APRIL 23 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has stressed that Republika Srpska must preserve its current level of autonomy, stressing that the chaotic global situation is an additional reason, as international relations are no longer governed by rules but by the daily politics of powerful countries.

"The global situation is different compared to a few years ago. At present, foreign policy in the world is manifested through the use of force, which then translates into certain policies", Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka, where he is attending a scientific discussion titled "Republika Srpska and Cooperation with Russia, the USA and the EU".

He emphasized that crisis hotspots have turned into war zones.

"No one can be certain when the situation will calm down. One thing is certain - the world is no longer unipolar, but multipolar", Dodik said.

According to him, the lack of relations among multipolar centers leads to chaos.

Dodik pointed out that, in such circumstances, representatives of Republika Srpska must understand the situation.

"Without hesitation, we must discuss how we will act. The subjectivity and level of autonomy that Republika Srpska has and seeks to further develop, must not be lost," Dodik believes.

He reiterated that BiH is a failed country that cannot be revitalized.

"BiH has a failed foreign policy that does not function based on the Constitution and agreements, but on the basis of individual, political, and national group interests. Bosniaks have decided to dismantle BiH's foreign policy by disregarding the agreement that the Presidency is responsible for it. Their entire policy is reduced to discrediting others. They have become tiresome to everyone, and Republika Srpska has the opportunity to say it stands for peace and stability", Dodik said.

He also repeated that the unconstitutional Court of BiH, based on an unconstitutional law and with the help of an illegitimate foreign official, removed the legally elected President of Republika Srpska, calling it a moment of crisis.

"At that point, Muslims began accusing us of preparing for war. However, we decided to move toward de-escalation and continue fighting for our fundamental policies. We preserved peace and presented ourselves properly in certain centers of power. We remain in a strategic relationship with Russia and maintain good relations with the new Trump administration, as well as with others who are friendly", Dodik said.
