DODIK: RUSSIA-UKRAINE ENERGY CEASEFIRE WILL OPEN DOOR TO DIALOGUE AND PEACE

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 11 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik welcomed the energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine this evening, which was reached with the mediation of US President Donald Trump.

"This step has opened the door to the possibility of restoring dialogue and moving towards peace. Only great leaders and statesmen such as presidents Putin and Trump are capable of showing the world that peace is not an illusion, but a path that can and must be pursued," Dodik posted on X.

Dodik said that European bureaucrats, who are completely out of touch with the world’s need for peace, would continue beating war drums.

"And not just with words: they will probably increase deliveries of missiles and weapons to ensure that the killing continues. Because peace is not their goal – war has become their mission. While Trump and Putin are building bridges, they want to keep people in the trenches. That is why this ceasefire represents both their defeat and the defeat of the policy of fighting until the last Ukrainian," Dodik stressed.

US President Donald Trump said that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to an energy ceasefire which, according to him, would take effect immediately.

"The energy ceasefire in the Russia - Ukraine war takes effect immediately. Both sides have agreed. Do not violate it," Trump wrote today on his social media platform Truth Social.
