BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 11 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says the party will remain committed to restoring the original Dayton Peace Agreement and protecting the position of Republika Srpska, stressing that the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH could not remain in their current form.
Dodik stated that the SNSD’s policy remained unchanged and that the party would not alter it, adding that it adhered to the electoral Dayton framework and the letter of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
"They accuse us of being destroyers of the Dayton. The Dayton has been destroyed; there is nothing left of it. Only fragments remain, which Muslims in Sarajevo are trying to circumvent in various ways," Dodik said.
He added that the SNSD would remain committed to restoring the original Dayton Peace Agreement, noting this as an offer to Bosniaks.
Dodik stresses the SNSD has achieved a strong electoral result and that its next task is to elect four or five of its deputies to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
"We will offer a broader platform to everyone. When I say five deputies, I mean that the opposition could also have someone there who would work alongside them, rather than someone who would oppose these four," Dodik said in an interview with Euronews BiH.
He added that it would be reasonable to form a team that would work together on agreed policies in the House of Peoples.
"The agreed policy is to put everything that is outside the Constitution of BiH on the agenda for negotiations, discussions and decision-making. I am not opposed to some form of court remaining, but the current Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH certainly cannot remain," Dodik said.
He stated that he was not opposed to unity among parties from Republika Srpska at the state level.
"We are a responsible political structure. We should act together in Sarajevo. I am not opposed to that, but policies must be agreed upon. There is implicit trust. These policies imply absolute and unquestionable protection of Republika Srpska. We must reject the falsehoods and the narrative surrounding EU integration that undermine our constitutional position," he said.
He added that the SNSD did not want BiH’s path towards European integration to become an anti-Serb path.
"Europe is in crisis, internal relations are terrible, member states are deteriorating, and the leaders of EU member states are struggling to cope," Dodik said.
Dodik stresses the Bosniaks has undermined BiH’s foreign policy, adding that this is a key issue that must be discussed.
He states that Serbs will receive four ministerial positions in the Council of Ministers of BiH, adding it is too early to discuss names.
Dodik also says that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not the most important ministry in the Council of Ministers, arguing that if the Presidency of BiH conducts foreign policy, as stipulated, the foreign minister will be benign.
Dodik stressed that Bosniaks considered everything they had done to be an achievement that must not be touched, which is not true.
"Everything must be resolved again," Dodik concluded. /end/ša/vos
