BANJA LUKA, APRIL 13 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik states he regrets that Viktor Orbán lost the parliamentary elections in Hungary, but that he will continue to cooperate with him, as he has not said his last word in politics.
"Orbán is my friend, which remains so. On the very first day /after the results announcement/, he showed that many of the accusations made against him regarding dictatorship were completely unfounded, as he acknowledged the election results and carried out the transition of power without any restrictions,” Dodik told the press in Banja Luka.
Republika Srpska, Dodik says, will remain very grateful to Orbán for what he has done, above all for understanding our position.
"In a way, we have always been alone here, except for Serbia and Russia, having the neoliberal world against us. Orbán was a voice of reason. I want to meet with him as soon as possible to discuss how we will proceed," Dodik said.
Speaking about projects between Republika Srpska and Hungary, Dodik said that all of them were agreed with Viktor Orban’s government and that a significant portion has already been implemented.
"If there is any interruption, it will be a unilateral decision from the Hungarian side. From our side, we will move forward if possible; if not, we lived without it five or six years ago as well," Dodik concluded.
