DODIK AND OTHER SRPSKA OFFICIALS ARE COORDINATED IN PROTECTING SRPSKA’S INTERESTS IN BiH

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 3 /SRNA/ - Senator of Republika Srpska Dragomir Vuković stated that the visit of Srpska President Milorad Dodik to Russia, and the results of his meeting with that country’s leader Vladimir Putin, are part of the coordinated efforts of Srpska’s authorities to safeguard the original principles of the Dayton Agreement on the international stage and to protect Srpska from the negative influence of foreign actors, the OHR in BiH, and political Sarajevo.

Vuković told SRNA that it is well known that Russia supports the protection of Srpska’s position within Dayton BiH, and does not accept foreign interference in the country’s internal affairs to the detriment of Republika Srpska.

"What Mr. Dodik, Ms. Željka Cvijanović, who is the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, and other political representatives of Srpska are actively doing is of exceptional importance. In fact, it is about giving an international dimension to the undeserved problems imposed on Srpska in BiH by the OHR and other actors," Vuković assessed.

He added that this is also evidenced by the fact that on October 31, the UN Security Council, under Russia’s presidency, will discuss the problems in BiH.

"International actors will also be informed there about these problems, which are serious and essentially aimed at destabilizing BiH. That is the essence of everything being done by /the unelected/ Christian Schmidt, part of the international community, and other actors," Vuković warned.

He noted that it is a positive development that international circumstances are changing in favor of Srpska, which has an increasing number of important friends in the world.

"In that regard, I hope that a serious discussion on the situation in BiH and its future will soon be held at the global level," Vuković concluded.

On the sidelines of the Valdai Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday met in Sochi with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.
