DAY OF THE UNITY OF SERBS AND 107TH ANNIVERSARY OF SALONIKA FRONT BREAKTHROUGH MARKED ON KAIMAKTSALAN

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA/ – A delegation of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, headed by Speaker Nenad Stevandić, together with a delegation from Serbia, today marked the Day of the Unity of Serbs, Freedom and the National Flag, as well as the 107th anniversary of the breakthrough of the Salonika Front on Kaimaktsalan.

According to the Republika Srpska National Assembly’s statement, wreaths were laid and respects paid to the Serb heroes who fell during the breakthrough of the Salonika Front.

The Republika Srpska National Assembly’s delegation also consisted of MPs Aleksandar Trninić, Srđan Mazalica, and Milan Savanović.

The Serbia’s delegation consisted of Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, Minister for Family Welfare and Demography Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski, and MP Dušan Marić.

Members of the Republika Srpska National Assembly delegation visited the Serb military cemetery at Zejtinlik near Thessaloniki yesterday, where they paid their respects to the remains of Serb soldiers.

The Republika Srpska MPs laid a wreath at the central monument and placed flowers on the grave of Đorđe Mihailović, the longtime guardian of Zejtinlik.
