ŠIPOVO, AUGUST 18 /SRNA/ - The road to Darko Ilić’s home in the village of Vodice, in the municipality of Šipovo, will soon be paved after Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić promised the large family that it would be done during his recent visit.
Work began yesterday, with the project being carried out by the company Mrkonjić Putevi from Mrkonjić Grad.
Ilić told SRNA that his large family is engaged in farming, livestock breeding and beekeeping and that they do their best to provide everything they need, but that the access road to their home had been their biggest problem.
He said that the Serbian President visited him about two weeks ago and promised that the access road to his home would be constructed and paved.
“I am happy, and I still cannot quite believe that all of this is real, that the road is actually being built,” Ilić said, thanking Vučić.
Once the road is completed, Ilić says, everything will be easier, allowing him to expand his agricultural production and livestock farming, and making it easier for guests to visit.
“I live with my wife, children, daughter-in-law and grandchild. I have five children; two daughters, my son, my daughter-in-law and my grandchild live with me, while my other two daughters are married. These days, the children do most of the work, and I help them a little,” Ilić said.
Adrijana Tešić, president of the “Naša radost četiri plus” association of large families in Šipovo, stressed that the Ilićs are a hardworking family with five children and are well known in the area.
“They stayed here to work and live and contribute to this community; they have now become grandparents and welcomed their first grandchild,” Tešić said.
She also thanked the Serbian President for visiting the area and the municipality of Šipovo.
