BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 8 /SRNA/ – The Central Memorial unveiled and consecrated today in the heart of Banja Luka, across from the Cathedral Church of Christ the Savior, will become a permanent witness to the suffering and sacrifice made in order to defend Republika Srpska and to provide the Serb people west of the Drina River with an institutional framework and security for a peaceful life, said SDS Leader Branko Blanuša.
"The best among us must never be forgotten. Those who gave the most valuable thing they had for Republika Srpska and their people - their lives, will remain written in golden letters in national history," said Blanuša, who attended the unveiling and consecration of the Central Memorial to the soldiers of the Defensive-Patriotic War with a delegation of his party.
He has said it is a duty to remember all fallen and deceased members of the Republika Srpska Army, and that continuous efforts must be made to improve the status of surviving veterans.
