AGREEMENT SIGNED FOR WATER AND SANITATION PROJECT

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 24 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić and the Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska Zora Vidović signed a subsidiary agreement today in Banja Luka for the implementation of the Grant Agreement between BiH and the European Investment Bank for the Water and Sanitation Republika Srpska 2 Project. The value of the grant is 16.75 million euros.

The signing of the agreement was attended by the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, and representatives of the local communities included in the project.

The Water and Sanitation Republika Srpska 2 project encompasses 29 investments in 15 local communities, and it relates to the improvement of water supply and sewerage infrastructure, as well as stormwater systems.

These are projects in the local communities of Doboj, Gradiška, Laktaši, Prijedor, Prnjavor, Teslić, Trebinje, Vukosavlje, Rogatica, Nevesinje, Istočna Ilidža, Novi Grad, Milići, Čelinac, and Zvornik.

The project represents a continuation of the first phase of the Water and Sanitation in Republika Srpska Project, which was launched in 2011.
