HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE NEXT DAYS, WATER LEVELS OF THE SAVA AND NERETVA ARE EXPECTED TO RISE

ZAGREB, MARCH 28 /SRNA/ - Large amounts of precipitation are expected in Croatia in the next two days, which will cause an increase in the water levels of the middle and lower Sava, its tributaries, and the Neretva, Croatian meteorologists have warned.

The report of the State Hydrometeorological Institute states that precipitation in the next few days could cause a significant increase in the water level of all tributaries of the Sava River, especially the right tributaries - Una, Kupa, Dobra, Mrežnica, Korana, Bosna, and Vrbas.

They particularly pointed to the Kupa River with its tributaries, lower part of the Una, and middle and lower part of the Sava, according to Croatian media.

Adriatic Sea Water Area Agency of BiH warned yesterday on possible floods in the lower part of the Neretva, with the expected peak water level for the weekend, which means that the rise is possible in the Croatian part of the Neretva as well.

More stable weather is expected from Tuesday, April 1, as well as the decline in water levels in the upper parts of the basins.
