BOSANSKI PETROVAC, AUGUST 7 /SRNA/ – Those who repent, can be forgiven, not those who revel in their crimes, therefore the Serb people must never again allow someone to become like old man Vukašin, the National Assembly speaker Nenad Stevandić said during the commemoration marking 30 years since the suffering of Serb refugees on the Petrovačka Road.
"Our duty is to ensure that no one dares to commit such atrocities again. We must not show fear," Stevandić declared.
If you expel and kill women, children, and the elderly, burn their homes down in two days, and the next day bomb them in another country with the intent to kill and destroy, then you embody the greatest evil, Satan itself, utterly shameless, Srtevandić said.
"The fact that we nurture a culture of remembrance means that, when we see those who sing and celebrate, we must stop fostering a culture of forgiveness. Forgiveness is for those who repent, not for those who revel over the victims. Let it be known that, as long as Republika Srpska exists, it is the last line of our existence," said Stevandić.
He added that he was glad that the presidents of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Serbia Aleksandar Vučić recognized this and perhaps that is why, he assessed, they are the biggest targets for those who want to forbid Serbs from having a culture of remembrance and speaking about the crimes committed against them.
He recalled the attempts to divide the Serbs by the Drina River and called on everyone to resist those who seek to destroy the Serb people.
"I call for unity and togetherness. We will continue to commemorate everything. Glory to the martyrs," said Stevandić.
